Welcome to ToySandBox.  All Toyota!

While my site has evolved over the years from a Geocities account when I showed my old 1989 Toyota Truck and featured its build, to today where I feature my built 1969 FJ40 that my son and did a body off frame rebuild.

While I completed the build of the FJ40 several years ago with 20,000 miles after completion.  Have done Moab and local trails with only a few issues of faulty parts or just things I didnt do right.  Working every bolt on the 40, ask me a question..  I bet I can answer it.

No destination is too far.

Who is this Toyota nut?

Love photography, my son and life....

I fell in love with big trucks, 4wheeling and in particular Toyota's from my Mom's 1981 Toyota Diesel Hilux.  At my early age, that thing could go and do anything.  I started saving at that moment knowing that one day I would own a Toyota 4x4!

That day came when I was 17 and bought a 1981 Toyota Sr5 4x4 from Burt Toyota in Denver.

Upgraded my 81 Toyota for a new at the time 1989 that I soon modified and owned for 18 years.  Best truck ever!

After the birth of my son, I started looking for a Toyota that could seat more than two.  Recieving the 1969 Fj40 for my birthday, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

Self taught or maybe just genetics, I have the ability to look at something and just understand how it works.   The rest is history...
